Have you tried using a C-clamp and an old deep well socket (known as the poor man's press) for the torque link bushings? Also the nutcraker, are you referring to the steering collar? I've rebuilt a few gears myself but could you elaborate on these bushings please. Please refer me to the parts manual figure and index. I can then help you with a game plan.
