Some coupes with firewall-mounted gascolators have suffered vapor lock problems.  This is serious...even more so if you use autogas.  Proper slope of fuel lines is a consideration in locating a firewall mounted gascolator; proximity of exhaust system components another.

Does Skyport include a 337 specifying gascolator firewall location?  Does it diffe between Stromberg and Marvel installations??

I found the following pertaining to Marvel installations:

   1.  Alon Service Bulletin No. 12 applies to Serials A-2 through A-204.  (Alon mounted their
   gascolators BELOW the carburetor!)

   2.  Mooney Bulletin A-19 [M-10-1]  (All Forneys, Alon A-2, Alon/Mooney A2A and Mooney M-10
thru 690008).  (I believe F-1s had carb-mounted gascolators, per fuel system diagrams)

Haven't had a COUPERS - FLYIN email since 3/8/04...need I re-subscribe, Tom?
