I have an O-200 with a Marvel Schebler
carb.... The STC paperwork says to install the new colator in the same
spot with the old fittings.. In my case, it is coming straight off the
carb..
My old colator was reinforced with a single
bracket that comes down from one of the engine mounts to the top of
colator..

Subject: Re: [COUPERS-FLYIN] Gascolater fitting headacheTim: I am not sure, but I think the new gascolator from Skyport is to be mounted on the firewall. I have done several of the support tubes to comply with the AD. As long as you have the proper fitttings, the tubes fit, you just have to bend the ends slightly to get the proper alignment. I usually find that the hole on the top of the front tube has to be enlarged slightly also, in order to fit over the stud on the valve lifter cover. I am assuming you have the Stromberg carburetor, because the tubes were not designed to fit on the Marvel carburetor.Lynn Nelsen
