Yes, John, there are two different types of nose gears on the Ercoupes.
They started with a dual nose fork, changed to a single for most of the Ercoupes
made, and then changed back to a different type of dual fork for the
Aircoupes.
The single fork type would most likely work best
with the type of tow bar your wife has gotten for you. However, the dual fork,
which you apparently have, works best with the squeeze type tow bar.
When you return your tow bar, get one that will
work well on a Cessna 150. I think you will find that will work well for your
Ercoupe's nose gear as well.
