I had a cable on mine, Mark. There is a "sweet spot" that the cable keeps
the nose wheel -- Ed Burkhead has the details that he got from Fred Weick
I
believe. My inclination is to keep the cable the way it was.
  Congratulations on the overhaul.

Subject: [COUPERS-TECH] nose gear cable

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any
advice in this forum.]----

I am finished overhauling my single fork nose gear. Upon re assembly I
noticed that the oleo has only 4" of travel before it hits the taxi
spring with the limit cable installed. I have seen coupes with and
without. What are the pros and cons of using the extension limiting
cable?
Thanks Old Guys for your input.
