To Ed and all others, Thanks for the good suggestions. I had been checking the FAA web site tonight and stumbled on the requirement for an STC for weight change and weight and balance changes. I also have found several documents that identify the process to be used. For the most part, it looks like the FAA will help you by identifying what one has to submit (once you have properly defined what it is you want o accomplish) but it's up to the submitter to develop the data and mee the FAAs requirements. As both you and Percy have pointed out, at times snowballs have a short life. I think it would be great if we could get another 55 lbs of legal fuel or passenger on board -- but if we can't it's still a damn fine plane and a lot of fun to fly.
