James: I put service bulletin #16 in serial # 238. We could not get the
wing tank caps to stop venting fuel in a climb, so I ended up putting the
thermos bottle caps back on the wing tanks. This stopped the venting and caused
no fuel transfer problems. We did have a problem with the overboard vent that
was added to the header tank, and I eventually plugged that line too.
The Aircoupe has been performing well ever
since.
