I am more than a little confused:
 
  • From reading NTSB LAX04FA150, I would surmise that the main cause of wing separation was from corrosion.
 
  • From reading the document provided by BobP, I would surmise that the main cause of the failure was from exceeding structure design limits during maneuvers. Intra-granular corrosion may have contributed.
 
Just how concerned should one be about this - How many wings have parted company from these planes in the last few years?
