Do all the A-65 through O-200 use hydraulic lifters?  Then the oil change could meet that criteria.  Heh.

Ed: you can get the latest FARs at the government's website.  Below is the link to FAR 43:

Alas, Eliacim, it looks like, as a Sport Pilot, you won’t be allowed to change the oil or fill the tires on your standard certificated Ercoupe (until you upgrade to a higher pilot license).  Fuss-fizzle!

If you look at the
APPENDIX A. PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE
AUTHORIZED TO BE PERFORMED BY PILOTS
(in accordance with FAR43, Appendix A(c)

(which list 32 items a pilot can do)
No where in there does it say that you can change or add your own oil even as a private pilot.

It says "Replenish hydraulic fluid in the hydraulic reservoir.

I've been badgering the local FSDO17 (Ft Lauderdale) for years about that.
When I bring it up they just get that look on their face and change the subject.
Because they know everyone is adding and or changing their own oil.

One more thing it also says

"Clean or replace fuel and oil strainers or filter elements.
