Darick, I don't know much more than you in regards
to the header tank fuel gauge, however I removed the glass tube from my coupe
and went back to the old tried and true wire and bobber. My only reason for
doing this was the glass gauge had been broken and repaired a few times in it's
past before I bought it and it became a constant problem. I think it is sticking
up there saying, go ahead and hit me!! My favorite gas tank gauge is the one I
have on my Starduster One. IT is a barrel gauge and only sticks up about 1.5
inches. the wire is a spiral with a cork at the bottom and as the fuel is burned
off the cork turns the spiral shaft which in turn turns the card in the sight
gauge. I would like to see something like that in a coupe. Food for thought.
