I have experienced carb ice with full power right after take
off. I was still quite low and didn't care too much for the
situation.
The linked carb heat control that Ercoupe originally installed
wouldn't have been much help there.
I've also had so much ice while taxiing for take off that I
had to leave it on during the take off run.
