Great Tim: I am glad you have some of the tools. The bead roller you
described does not have a large enough die. The Ercoupe ailerons need a flange
just over 1/2 inch wide.
Hey Syd: Thanks for correcting me. I could not
think of the correct word this morning, so I put out the wrong information.
It takes me about 4 days to do an aileron. That
includes taking it all apart. cleaning the skins and stiffeners or making new
ones. priming everything, then putting it all back together.
I do not remember the correct number of rivets, but I believe it is over
well over 200 per aileron.
