This tail cone ID info is a recent requiirement of the FARs,
(1990s) not an imprint of the S/N by ERCo at manufacture time.
I am not aware of any stamping of the s/n on the coupe parts by ERCO or
later mfgs....but there may be such. Interesting. However
my control shafts are etched with my s/n. I suspect this was a later
identification by a rebuilder, BUT, it may be the ID you are looking for. I HAVE
NOT LOOKED AT OTHER COUPES to see if such etchings are present.... Difficult to
get under the panel and see :)..
The Etched/scribed numbers are near the u-joints on the
shaft..
