Unfortunately, it is not true. The Sport Pilot rule specifically says it
is not true and the FAA has often stated that the policy will not be
changed. 415 Cs once certified above 1320# can be "re-certified" back to
their original weight but that will not make them Sport Pilot eligible.
Thus I am afraid that it will take until the day after Hell freezes over.
