Wait a minute guys! The question was: "Would somebody go do some full power stalls in their Alon and let me know what their airspeed indicator shows when the plane stalls?"
So far Don Bowen is the only one who has responded with an answer to my question. BTW, his answer was 42 MPH indicated , but he didn't really get a break at the stall.
The course of this discussion reminds me of a famous poem:
Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
I like peanutbutter,
Can you swim?
If you get that, you may be as messed up as I am!
Anybody else stalling around out there???
Best Regards,

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]----
John,
I thought about that issue.
But, then I thought about a 440 fpm climb at 50 mph (4400 fp-minute). That’s a Vcl/Vfor of .1 giving an angle of 5.7391704772667°.
So, the cosine of 5.7391704772667° is .9949874371 plus a smidgen. So, that’s an error of about .005 ( 50*.005= .250628144669 mph ) and I figured it might be easier to leave that part of the calculation out since, after all, this is to give a rough number.
Dang, I just knew someone was going to catch me on that.
Any of you who can measure and hold your airspeed within a fraction of .25 mph will need to use John’s method.
<Big grin>
(Check my figures, guys and gals, it’s been 38 years since I took that trigonometry class.)
