crud... I was hoping you might be one of the few (Southern) New England 'Coupes... looked you up and you're in NJ (the Fed think)... I still think our region deserves a fly-in - I agitated for one this past summer, to no avail, obviously - how about '07???

To relate to your question, I'm chronically short of coin so don't have preheat deals on my plane, my former home base would do 15' for -I forget, maybe $20- but that really doesn't do it... what I've decided in S'ern RI is to leave it sleep when it's below 20ยบ - I used to be a fan of the AeroShell multi-weight, but got sucked into Exxon Elite multi-weight (probably negligible difference, although I think the Exxon is rated wider for weight and they claim it is better against corrosion - God only knows, and that may be literal). If I HAD to go and it was REALLY cold, I guess I'd buy at least 1/2 hour of preheating - still, the poor thing will run cold anyway - not good - and I have a cover for the hole under the prop for winter. My flying club (C-172) kind of ignores the whole issue which I think is less than good.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Jim
