Re: [COUPERS-TECH] Re: today's tests Re: radio transmitting problemThere's no
shame in going for free help. I'll always go to this list or any of my other
lists if I can get help that I won't have to pay for otherwise. TOA sure has
changed through the years. At one time it had a flying school that only
operated Ercoupes. An old controller from TOA tower (when it was a city tower
and later when it became FAA), John Hudson, use to tell horror stories about
the pattern full of 3 - 4 hr. solo Ercoupe students. I guess John's long gone.
Ask if anyone up there still remembers him. I learned to fly at TOA at the
TOA school that operated Champs and TriChamps. The other school had a fleet of
Luscombe 8As as their primary trainer. Makes me homesick. roger

Tom,

It sounds like you may have misunderstood my purpose in asking the Tech list
for help, so I'm posting my reply there as well, in case others also
misunderstood.

You wrote, "You might just have to bite the bullet and pay an expert to come
in and
fix your radio. Expensive up front, but worth it in the long term."

Tom, I did not appeal to the list to avoid paying an expert. I would be very
willing to pay an expert to fix the problem -- if I could FIND one! I was not
posting to get free help, but to get competent help.
