I am almost embarassed to join this discussion as I thought I had my problems solved. Currently, I use a Japan Radio Corp hand held. It is powered from a cigarette lighter outlet and is connected to an external antenna mounted just behind the cockpit on the top of the tail cone. There is an amplifier in the antenna circuit powered off a 12 volt circuit. My problem, as I see it, is that the plug connections between the radio and my headsetll work erratically at best. When the system is working your couldn't ask for anything better. However, occasionally, the transmit circuit is suspect and the reception through the headset is poor. I am seriously considering hardwiring the head set to the radio to eliminate a set of plug connections. Alternatively, I am considering hard wiring the radion direct to my portable intercom. My question for the group is: Is there any way to ensure proper connections through the plug sets? Tandy __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
