I've just acquired an old C coupe, serial # 285 with a double fork. I plan on replacing the donuts as they look a bit dry & cracked. I did notice a spacer on top of the donuts which was about 1/2". Is this the spacer I shouldn't be using? If not what is the fix as I don't think the Bellevilles will work on the older gear legs.
