I've used (edited) two wikis, the wikipedia site I mentioned and a local one for the city I live in. Neither required any special codes at all and were surprisingly easy to edit. The objection most people have is, don't you just get a lot of garbage there, since anyone can edit? And the answer seems to be you do have to have moderators, but they should not be dictatorial. It's surprising how the best information comes out of a group. The problem with the Wiki's out there are that they are hard to figure out. There are dozens of special codes you need to type in to use it to it's potential.
