Is there a comprehensive Ercoupe specific maintenance & repair manual available that has been written by a knowledgeable A&P / IA??? If so please point me in the right direction because I'd sure love to own a copy!!! However if such a thing existed, I doubt we'd be having this conversation. IMHO - In the meantime this seems like a good start, and I applaud Ed for starting the ball rolling. The Wikipedea model that Ralph's suggested isn't perfect either however; nothing ever is, and once again it would be a good start on something that does not currently exist and is sorely needed while we still have Ercoupe experts around to share the information. Al, BTW - thanks for the great swap page. It is a valuable resource to the Ercoupe community too. Thanks also to John Cooper & Skyport for his technical & parts support! If own or love our Ercoupes, we're all in the same boat together. If it needs to be edited after it's published, it's rubbish to begin with. What happens to the folks that use the recommendations before they are edited. Who is to say the edited version is correct? These things should be written by qualified mechanics who have specific experience in the subject. Although it's not brain surgery, there is a definite right and wrong method. This Wikipedia thing is dangerous and as far as I'm concerned bulls#*t. In this instance the moderators DO need to be dictators. Neither required any special codes at all and were surprisingly easy to edit. The objection most people have is, don't you just get a lot of garbage there, since anyone can edit? And the answer seems to be you do have to have moderators, but they should not be dictatorial. It's surprising how the best information comes out of a group. The problem with the Wiki's out there are that they are hard to figure out. There are dozens of special codes you need to type in to use it to it's potential. I will look into other options though. - Jason ============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm ============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm ============================================================================== To leave this forum go to: http://ercoupers.com/lists.htm
