Chuck, We have had two Ercoupe flyins here in the state of Washington on the
coast. We invited all types of aircraft but the Ercoupe was the featured
aircraft. The first year we had 12 Coupe types show. Last year we were down to
I think nine or ten due in part to high fuel cost, also our flyin was a week
before the Evergreen flyin at McMinnville Oregon. I personally sent invitations
to about fifty coupe owners in the NW. This year I am not going to as it is
time consuming and the response in relation to amount of invitations was poor.
If you know any coupe owners in the area you might want to seek their support.
Do not go to allot of expense to entertain. We are fortunate here to have a
fellow willing the do an Ercoupe forum. We also had a riveting forum sponsored
by Vans RV. The first year we had a total of fifty planes of all kinds, last
year about thirty to forty. So fuel cost due effect turn out.Be sure to list
your flyin on all the coupe sites, etc. Good luck, and do not worry or be

Well its spring time and Ercoupe fly-ins are in full bloom though out our
great nation, except of course in the north east where these things just don't
seem to happen. So I've decided that maybe we should try one in this neck of
the woods. I'm a little nervous as I have not done one of these things before,
but I'm going to give it a try. My Cabin is in a fly in community on a 4000
foot grass strip in NH (NH69).We have plenty of coupe parking on the south end
of the runway. We are just south of the White Mountains and the views there
from in a coupe are just spectacular. The date will be July 7th. I would prefer
it to be a one day event, but if you are flying/Driving in from a long distance
we can arrange something at one of the local motels. Lunch can be burgers and
hot dogs at my hanger or we can go to a local restaurant. Please let me know if
you are interested and your thoughts so that I can get an idea of how many
coupers might show up. Also if anybody wants to help out, please send me an
email off list. I know this is the tech list, but this is the one that everyone
subscribes too and I needed to get the word out......
