Hey Dan: This is the place to get most of your questions answered about
Ercoupes. You have been given good advice so far.
I do not know the serial number of this Ercoupe, but there was no pull
knob on the lower LEFT side of the panel. That was where the primer was
placed. The pull knob for the cabin heat was placed on the lower RIGHT side of
the
panel along with the light switch, the generator fuse, and the amp meter.
If the Ercoupe you are looking at has some other arrangement, then it is
not "original" as the owner was attempting to tell you. (Most are not
original these days) I am assuming that this Ercoupe also has the original
glove
boxes on each side of the panel and the aluminum trim with red paint inside
the
trim down each side of the center portion of the panel.
Where are you located? Possibly the group can help you find a reliable
person to look at this Ercoupe for you, if not do a pre purchase.
