Gwen:

The up stop is a shaft color behind the panel. There is probably another
bolt hole 1" forward of the one in use. Just move the collar there. The
down stop is a sleeve on the shaft behind the yoke. It will have to get 1"
longer.

New York is not New England? Thank goodness! I don't think I could take
another New England Winter!

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] yoke travel

Gang

I have an Ercoupe whose panel was relocated about one inch aft by the former
owner, John Rogers, now deceased. I am nearing the completion of a complete
restoration and the mechanic doing the work, Victor, has repositioned the
panel back to it's original location, like it was from the factory. When I
mentioned to John that I was moving the panel back to the original position,
he told me to make sure the "stops" on the yoke (control shaft) were placed
back in the correct position of I would not get the correct elevator travel.
I recently mentioned to Victor that the stops needed to be readjusted. He
asked me to try to get more details on "the stops" and how to adjust them.
Can anyone send me an email which I will forward to Victor so he understands
what needs to be done and how?

Thanks

Glen
