We have the correct washer. How big is the counterbore? Maybe it's not
supposed to be there at all??? I don't recall one. Could it be from
someone using the wrong or no washer sometime in the past?

Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Wing Tank

I had the same soft aluminum washer on both of my tanks, Dennis. And
a replacement was the pits to find. Please see my article "Got
Tanked" on the ercoupe.org site.

I would appreciate any advice available about a problem we had after
reinstalling the left wing fuel tank on my 1946 415C, N2738H, S3363.
 We would
like to know if every aluminum wing tank has this counter bored area
and any opinion available on why it did not leak before from this area.
 Thanks. Dennis
