Somebody (Ed?) asked about the air pressure generated bu a 100 mph blast tube. The answer is 0.168 PSI or 6.56 inches of water. This equates to about 7.5 inches of gasoline, so, the air pressure from one tank's vent could push the fuel in the other tank 7.5 inches higher than the level in the first tank. Add to that a vacuum generated by a leaky cap gasket and all the fuel in the first tank could easily be driven overboard.
