Frankly, I'm not sure just what I am supporting by paying dues to EOC - as Mr. Rossi noted, the newsletter is anemic and EOC does not seem to coordinate. My "Wing Leader" lost his A/C to fire maybe two years ago (he is still listed as Wing Leader*, albeit he has forsaken flying). (I have toyed with the idea of volunteering as "Wing Leader", but I'm a rookie). If EOC organized fly-ins, that could be great. but at this point. the internet seems to be "where it's at". For what it's worth, I would dearly love a 'Coupe fly-ins somewhere I could reasonably get to, as I feel very alone in RI (I have the only Ercoupe registered in state and still cannot find a reasonable mechanic).
