Al, & all concerned: I agree with all that has been said. Individual
participation is the key to success. I think a couple of the reasons for lack
of
success is that a majority of our members are seniors and many without
significant means (dollars) to add to the equation. Another is that our Coupes
are not
the speedy cross country travelers that the RV crowd has.
I have only been a EOC member for 8 years, and do not have the desire to
reinvent the wheel. I have never been one of the "inside" members but was
able to convince a few members to put together a convention. Unfortunately we
had terrible weather which prevented many from attending. It takes a really
energetic person to make things happen, so it is much easier to not do
anything
than to jump in and assist. In other words, I would like to see some
changes, but do not have the energy to make it happen.
Your suggestion to add to the current group is a good one which I would
like to see succeed. Lets pull together on this to see if we can make some
changes.
