I concur. Dan Hall has been the ideal Wing Director, and his e-
newsletter very welcome. As soon as I'd officially acquired my
Ercoupe, the very first thing I did was join EOC...and that was due
to the irreplaceably important help I'd already had from Dan Hall
(Calif. Wing Director), Gary Dalluge (SoCal Wing Leader) and Tom
Crowder ("The Kid") -- not only in responding immediately (and almost
daily, even hourly) to all my questions for weeks, but in providing
recommendations (inspector, CFI, etc.), a pre-pre-purchase look-over,
and even going to pick up the plane for me! At my first tri-state
fly-in (Jean, NV, 2006 -- to which the SoCal Ercoupers led me, BTW),
JoAn of the AZ Ercoupers gifted me with a carton containing ~30 yrs
worth of Coupe Capers. The supportiveness of the California Wing and
others nearby has been beyond anything I could have imagined, much
less expected, from an owners' club. Whatever I can do to help Dan,
with my just-newbie-level of knowledge, I have offered to do. At
least as far as the Calif. Wing is concerned, I think EOC rocks!!!!!!

I'll agree with Mark. Dan has kept California an active group even
if there
are lots fewer active members than he'd like.
I've received his newsletter for a long time and seen the great
effort he
puts into it.
How many other wings and regions have ongoing activities, flyins,
get-togethers, or a newsletter?
I can only name about five other Coupers in Illinois but I'd bet
there are
30 or so. A bunch of the Californians know each other and see each
other
from time to time - because of Dan.
It may not be as good as you'd like, Dan. But you are, I think, a
definite
success.
