I don't want to break the propeller thread. So I'm Calling this Propeller/Fuel
burn. Hope it works.

 I have a 415-C, C-85, O-200 crank.
I never get better than 6 gph. If we're doing touch and goes, etc. I may get 7
gph. I'm using tach time, is that right?

I rarely fly that high, usually 4500 or 3500, but at those altitudes I burn 4
1/2 to 5 GPH at 2400. When I first got my plane back from the engine overhaul,
I flew it for a while at 2200 or so since that was the normal speed for the C75
and it "felt" right. Then I got 4 or less. Of course, I was moving pretty
slowly, too!

    Larry,

What is your fuel burn at 5500MSL or there about @ 2400 RPM
    with the 71-50 prop?

      Albert,

I have the same engine and have a 71-50 prop. I get terrific climb
performance (400-500 FPM loaded in hot weather) and I cruise at about 110-115
MPH at 2400 RPM/

        Tom,

The engine is not an O-200. It is an C-85-12 having the O-200 crank STC.
The engine is complete and on the coupe but has yet to be run.
The engine was overhauled by Premium Aircraft Parts LLC of Ft. Smith,
AR.
The old engine that was on the coupe was a core exchange for this one.

        Thank you for your help,
A new couper yet to fly,

Does your 'coupe have the O-200 installed or just an STC for
installing one?.....or is it the STC to install an O-200 crank in a C-85
engine?

          Thanks.

          Tom

What would be the best propeller for my 1947 415-CD
            N94748 Ser# 4859?
It will be used most for cross country flying.
The engine is an 0 time C85-12 with an 0-200 STC.
I looked it up in A-718 and it made no mention of
the 0-200 STC. I am a new cooper with 0 time in a
            coupe and need your help.
