Why install a 35 amp generator?

1. No change to the wiring, just bolt the generator and a matching voltage
regulator. (Assuming your wiring is in good condition!)

2. If your plane is a D, E, Alon or Mooney, the type certificate includes
the 35 amp generator, so it's just a logbook entry, no 337.

If the plane is a C or CD it gets a little grey, but some A&Ps on this
board agree that a logbook entry should also be sufficient. You need to
consult your own A&P /IA and get his / her understanding of the paperwork
he / she will require to install a 35 amp generator on a C or CD.
