Bob, One other comment... I also had the GPS option installed. While I have a Garmin 396 on board, the bright LED display of track is nice from my perspective and serves as a backup. The unit also comes with a slip/skid indicator. The only thing I would change on the retro face is the color. All black looks fine, but from a human factors perspective if the sky were colored gray, it would be help when scanning the instruments during flight. I suggested that to Jim. I had this all approved when I did a 337 for all the panel work.
