Kevin,

As others have posted, there were many fuel system changes. You need to go to
these service buletins to fully understand the changes made, and how to make
your system work.
IT DOES TAKE A LOT OF READING AND EFFORTS TO MATCH PART NUMBERS AND PARTS
:)..but it will be worth it to get a system that works properly.

John Wright, Jr., will be a lot of help, both in repairing any tanks, and
also in suggestions on how to make it all work.

ERCO Memo 31, Fuel System operation; 33 Repair of Aluminum tanks; 33-A,
Repair of Alum tanks; 39, Installation of Aluminum Wing tanks...42, Re-routing
fuel pump lines; 43, Modification of Alum tanks and Fuel System lines; 50,
Replacement Aluminum Wing Tanks, Installation of---. They have lots of diagrams
and effective s/n, etc.

  There may be more Bulletins...

It would be wise for EVERY ERCOUPE OWNER to obtain the latest copy of the
Ercoupe Bulletins and Memorandums from Skyport or Univair. It is a valuable
reference source....AND ALSO GET THE PARTS AND SERVICE MANUALS.

Need some help with a plumbing issue.....here's the story.
I do not have the original fuel-lines for the plane so I have to make
my own.
I was mapping out the routing of all the lines and noticed something odd.
My fuel system didn't match the manual listing my planes serial number
diagram.
I have a 46' 415-c with 8 gallon wing-tanks.
These wing-tanks do not appear to be steel but seem to be aluminum, yes
I used a magnet.

Here's a few discrepancy's I have found in the manuals.....
1.I have 8 gallon tanks instead of 9 gallon and they appear to be
aluminum.
2.I have two ports on my right wing-tank instead of the left.
3.The manual shows the ports being side by side and my tank ports are
vertical.
4.The manual shows a picture of the fuel-line in a U shape in the
middle of the plane but none of the diagrams this U in the line.
5.The fuel diagram for my serial number is not possible due to the
ports on the wing-tanks.I would have to use the diagram for the steel
tanks to possibly make my set-up work.

Was there a modification I don't know about?
Do I have the wrong wing-tanks?

Can someone help me figure out how to route my fuel-lines please?

Kevin
