The Ercoupe may have a small advantage in the structural issue because you could install it in the glove box door hole.

Yes you can possibly get it, but I wouldn't cut before the fed okays it. Contrary to what's been told you at the airport cafe, the electrical connection is not the issue here. Since the panel in most airplanes is part of the structure, you'll need a DER's blessing and drawings to hand to the fed who's really never been trained practically to make such as decision. Remember that there isn't a full set of gonads in many of the FSDO's and it has nothing to do with anatomy. "We're Not Happy 'Til You're Not Happy" > > FYI, the AirGizmo bracket is on the hit list. Too many people took it upon themselves to really stretch the rules and install them and it made the pseudogods mad as hell. I say unless you have a real tech at the FSDO or you're a brother-in-law (again, nothing to do with anatomy) you just ain't getting this one approved any longer. > > The above advice is worth what you paid for it. > > Al DeMarzo > Visit the Ercoupe Swap Page > Free, Easy and No Membership Required > http://www.ercoupeowners.com/swap/swapbook.htm > > > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: [email protected] > Sent: Tuesday, May 13, 2008 9:58 AM > Subject: [ercoupe-tech] Air Gizmo's > > > > Great Product, Just need the paperwork > > > http://www.airgizmos.com/prod/gpsmount/index.asp > > All products on this site are intended for use on experimental aircraft. > Installation in a production aircraft may require an FAA field approval. > > > > > > > -------------------------------------------------------------------- ---------- > Wondering what's for Dinner Tonight?
