I lay mine on the seat also. 

When I registered my coupe here in WI I was asked if I had a GPS.I 
stated that I had a portable unit and that seemed to be a 
satisfactory answer.  

A person has to wonder what would be the result of a pre-buy 
inspection in the event a person wanted to sell a self modified
