Hey Steve: I recommend you put the holes in the bottom of the center section. 
Reason being, that I have personally found several Coupes/Alons with corrosion 
(exfoiliation as well as surface) in the area behind the rear spar. This area 
is very difficult to see well with just the wings removed, and putting the 
holes, especially behind the rear spar, really helps to look at the area. Once 
the holes are in, it is easy to look at on a more routine basis than the 3 year 
period required by the AD.
