I think I'll start an RV7....by the time I'd have a rv12, Zenair, or  Sonex 
complete that market would be flooded, and an real RV would be a lot more fun.

I am happy with my Ercoupe, but If I were to get another plane, I would build a 
Sonex, with their Aerovee VW engine. The freedom to make choices in 
instrumentation, etc. you get with an experimental, are very appealing to me.

I think the best replacement for the Ercoupe, and let's face it, they 
all will have to be replaced someday, is the RV-12. I'm building one, 
just got the wings finished, and will see whether I like it or 
the 'Coupe better, then sell one of them. The RV-12 120K cruise looks 
pretty good but I also enjoy the open canopy flying. Hmmmm. Maybe keep 
both.
