HI Bart and ALL , my opinion would be .... if you are in a questionable weather 
situation and you have  this capability USE IT. then if some one questions you 
about it (if they do)  deny deny deny ! using it could save your Butt--- great 
asset. BTW good question..

            Just bought an Iphone and tried out several web sites to access 
weather 

information.  The best one I found was

At the top of the web page you can select radar or satellite depictions 

or winds aloft plus several other data sets.  The radar page allows you 

to select a specific weather radar to give coverage anywhere in the 

country.  The satellite feature gives a great regional overview for 

flight planning.  Question is, how legal is it to access the internet 

on a wireless phone while airborne?  I know we discussed using the 

phone feature is not legal, but how about the internet feature?
