Linda,
My coupe came with newly overhauled magnetos. The local A&P insisted
on installing a new mag switch and new "P" leads.

When we finally got it airworthy I flew about three hours before a
coil in one of the mags failed. (I noticed it on run up at a
neighboring airport). My feeling is that "some days you just can't
win". At least we had problems that were found and fixed on the
ground.

Specialties as the landing gear issues can be taught.
