Hey Joe: Yes, the 160 to 190 pounds is correct. The elevator is limited in its movement (13 degrees up and 10 down on a 415-C) so keeping the tension up is important to maintain the proper amount of movement. I have a quick question on elevator cable tension. The Service manual gives 160 to 190 pounds tension. That just seems way too high. That would put twice that load on the bell-crank bushings. Is that correct or am I missing something very important. Thanks, Joe P Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail Ercoupe 415-C N- 97312 Pa.
