Here in Peoria, Illinois, we think of ourselves as pretty much a northern part of the U.S. But you've got to go south in Europe, down to Madrid, Spain or Naples, Italy to be at the same latitude as Peoria. Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada, isn't as far north as Berlin. We didn't exactly have "white nights" in Frankfurt, Germany, when I lived there but in late June it wasn't completely dark in the middle of the night, either. Ed
