[ercoupe-tech] Air speed tubeing

   the aluminum tubing that runs from back of airspeed indicator out into wing 
can that be 
  replaced with polyethylene tubing legally ?  my  mechanic out of town for 
week and i
  would like to know before he gets back from trip.
