This thread is almost at it's end, but I might add my two cents worth of
observations.

Please notice that the Ercoupes originally were fitted with basic VFR
instruments only. That makes one Airspeed meter and an Altimeter if I am not
wrong.

I found that ERCO installed one aluminum pressure tube and a similar tube for
the static pressure through the wing, ending behind the dash, directly into the
Airspeed meter ports.
The static line has a T-piece that would allow to attach another short piece of
tubing to the altimeter.

On my Coupe the tubing from this T-piece on is completely plastic tubing. The
advantages of the plastic tubing shows especially when working behind the
panel. It is much easier to install instruments. No stiff lines to worry about
that could chafe or touch electrical wires.

I can only recommend the use of plastic tubing behind the panel.

As for the initial lines that feed through the wing, I'd stay with them. It is
an approved and proven system.

[ercoupe-tech] Air speed tubeing

Thanks to Paul Anton, here is a link to a high quality drawing of the Coupe’s
pitot/static tubes. Click on the link for the “Pitot/Static tube diagram”:
