In my effort to investigate an alternative to the Stromberg carb I ran across the Ellingsen Throttle Body carb which has a unit that fits the C-65, C-75 and C-85. Floatless and new it looks great but has only been approved for experimental aircraft (costs about $1050 and might need a new airbox too, about $350).
Has anyone seen a throttle body installation on a C-75 or C-85? I was hoping there might be an STC out there but I am not aware of any. Emailed Ellinsen to ask if anything would be pursued in that regard. I'll let you know what they say. Best regards, Rich Green N3881H, 1947 415-CD
