Hi, Chuck.

Since I have only recently earned the priveleges of a Sport Pilot, I
might have this wrong. But I believe that ALL pilots "self certify"
their own medical fitness to fly each and every time that they fly.
Last time I checked, noone needs to consult a physician each time they
climb in the cockpit. But I am pretty sure that if a Private Pilot
wraps his or her legs around a joy stick knowing that they might not be
physically fit to fly, that pilot has violated the FAR and is not
flying legally.

I hope I didn't detect a bit of sarcasm about a Sport Pilot's
responsibility to "self certify."
