Thanks to all who have commented on my first posting. I have talked to
several A&P and Ercoupe experts and I got both suggestions. I still
don't know what way to go, doubler or replace. I don't have a lot of
money and I personally don't see anything wrong with putting a doubler
on it. I feel that if I put the doubler on it and I happen to over
strengthen it and have a hard landing it may crack the spar but on the
other hand, if I replace it and have a hard landing it could crack or
kink it again leaving me back to the same problem. Has anyone out
there ever put a doubler on a rear spar. If so please let me know how
its has held up.
