Airtex is a real aircraft interior shop, so if you have an idea of custom stitching, they can probably do it for you. And since they have all the patterns, it'll probably be cheaper.

They are also made of FAA approved materials. If you have a mechanic do all the work the total will cost you about the same as if you go to a custom interior shop and have a custom job done. I have had two custom jobs done in Ercoupes and the price came to around $3000. The only advantage to a custom shop over Airtex is "customization". While the Airtex interiors look good, they all look kind of the same (except for color). if you want something different, like custom stitching, puckered fabric, pleating, mixed fabric and leather, etc, you only can get that from a custom shop, as far as I know.
