Don probably has an extreme climb prop in front there, hence the reported speed
of 85 MPH in cruise.

Don,

You're saying with your 7150 prop you climbed out at 2575 rpm? That's not
possible. Either your prop is incorrectly stamped or your tachometer is way
off.

I've got a C85 with 7150 prop (I don't have my log books as I write this but
seem to recall that is what is stamped on it). My buddy was behind me in his
Cessna 150 with an 0-200...not sure of the prop...I surprised us both by
outclimbing him from field altitude 3,650 to 6,500 cruise. I was all the way to
the firewall and my tach was showing 2575 and airspeed was showing +/- 65mph. I
was just out of the 150's visual range when he leveled out. However, it didn't
take him long to catch me once we were both straight and level. In cruise, I
throttled back to 2450 or so and was showing 85 mph. The 150 normally cruises
at 2500 but had to pull back to 2000 to keep from passing me once he caught up.

Fun stuff. I love this airplane!

My sincere thanks to those who got the 415C included in LSA.

Looking forward to meeting my fellow Colorado / Western Kansas 'Coupers at some
of the area fly-ins this year.
