Let me guess...your A&P really said this yesterday, right?  ;<)

Assuming he/she has access to an Ercoupe Parts Manual and Service 
Manual,
carefully read pages 24-26 of the ESM for an overview of the task.

        Remove item No. 10, p. 38 - EPM.

        Disconnect trim wire from trim tab

        Disconnect elevator pushrod at elevator connection

        Refer to P. 30 - EPM as to which cables connect where.  Make sure he
        fully comprehends that the rudder cables cross through item No. 7.

Understand...I'm not a certificated aircraft mechanic.
