These ribs can be reached and looked at from the inside of the plane through a lightening hole behind the rear spar. To get your head there you would have to remove all baggage compartment floorboards, seats etc. But it is possible either with a mirror or a scope to reach down there and have a look. One could even test the structural integrity with a hammer or so. Do what I did take your digital camera and stick it down in the lightening hole, a take a series of pictures from front to back.
